Crosby Post Office

Building orientation, natural lighting, circulation, security, and ease of maintenance were some of the factors that shaped the design of the new 12,250 s.f. postal facility.

The southeast facing glass washes the lobby and mailbox alcoves with natural lighting as well as providing visual security for the facilities patrons.

Natural light enters the facilities work area by means of clerestory windows oriented to allow only indirect natural light into the space.

The exterior façade is composed of 8”x8” face brick, embossed cast limestone coping, and a plaster fascia.

The new post office influenced the architectural design or other public buildings in the area.
